Twelve Solid Silver Dessert Spoons, Fazy Family Coat Of Arms. 19th Century, Geneva?

A very interesting set of twelve 19th-century Swiss dessert spoons bearing the Fazy family coat of arms.

The spoons are made of plain silver, decorated only with superb applied coats of arms.

These arms belong to the Fazy family, established in Geneva since the early 18th century.

Among the illustrious members of this family was James Fazy (1794–1878), founder of the Geneva Radical Party and considered to have transformed Geneva, bringing it into the modern age.

The spoons are hallmarked:

A G pierced by an arrow, to be identified

A French import hallmark of a weevil for silver with a minimum fineness of 800/1000

A beautiful set of spoons, with significant historical interest thanks to the Fazy coat of arms, whose owner was a member of the family of this famous Genevan politician.

The spoons are quite thin, which is pleasant because they feel weightless in the hand.
