Pair Of Tabriz Rugs, 140 X 192 Cm, Hand-knotted Kork Wool From Iran, Mid-20th Century

Pair of hand-knotted wool Tabriz rugs, originating from Iran.
In the Dozar format, approximately 100 x 200 cm, these rugs measure 140 cm wide by 192 cm long each.

This pair of rugs is in very good, clean condition; it is indeed rare to find a pair from around 1950 in such fine condition.
The vibrant colors are: red, sky blue, black, straw yellow, and almond green.
The wool is lustrous and soft. A large, almond-shaped floral medallion, accompanied by two pendants, is set on a six-sided red field with highly decorated corners.
The rug features an abundant floral design, creating a beautiful effect.
The pile shows slight wear consistent with age, and the edges are in very good condition, with clean, short fringes.
We also offer a pair of early 20th-century Sarough rugs measuring 135 cm by 197 cm, which can be seen in our Proantic gallery for €3600.
This pair is in superb condition and rare colors.
