Oil on canvas of an "impossible image" (G. Cordero, 1993), blending animals and objects in an absurd, sometimes unsettling scene: a group of dogs sticking their heads out of a kitchen window, sniffing a large, bloody ribeye steak.
Marked by irony, dark humor, and provocation, José Garcia Cordero has established himself with a refined, richly colored style, creating a visual sensory experience. A boundary between the absurd and surrealism. Sometimes calm, sometimes disturbing scenes.

He has participated in numerous exhibitions around the world; in solo exhibitions (as in Florida (1994), Vitry-sur-Seine (1992), Paris (1990) or the Netherlands (1978)), but also in group exhibitions (Santo Domingo, Angoulême, Toulon, Pont-Aven, Cuba, Madrid).
