“travel” Reliquary In Paperolles – 19th Century

Pretty reliquary,
called a travel reliquary, circular in shape, containing 3 relics with handwritten labels (Agnus Dei, Saint Lucy and a Venerable) surrounding a polychrome plaster virgin, in the middle of a pretty paper work.
The whole thing is covered with blown glass in a circular shape, not fixed.
The box appears to be a marquetry of ox horn elements.

Total diameter: 4.5 cm

The lid and the box are pierced. The reliquary was undoubtedly connected to a cord in the past. Rare cracks on the edges of the case due to time. Old restoration of the lid (see last photo).
Beautiful collectible and devotional item.
