Large White Pearl Rosary & Medal - 1899 - 19th Century - In Travel Case
Large round white pearl rosary bearing a medal dated May 28, 1899.
Composed of 59 pearls linked together by small silver rings, this lchapelet is composed of 5 tens of beads called "AVE", each preceded by a bead called "PATER".
It features a silver "SOUVENIR DE PREMIERE COMMUNION" medal, signed with a flamboyant chalice, vermeiled and monogrammed on the reverse "BE", dated May 28, 1899.
The letter "M" representing Mary joins before the termination by an engraved Cross bearing a Christ in relief spaced by two pearls that frame three closely spaced grains.
This rosary is protected by a period travel case in burgundy leather.
Length of rosary 48 cms.
