Art Deco Period Silver Jabot Pin With Emerald-colored Crystals
This beautiful double brooch pin, known as a "jabot" pin, is made of silver. Both parts are adorned with a triangular cabochon with rounded points, imitating an emerald, within a stylized setting of a spearhead, millegrained with colorless brilliant-cut crystals. This type of brooch pin has become rare to find complete, having often been converted into earrings.
Typical of the Art Deco period, this lovely piece is crafted with the same care as a brooch from the workshop of a master jeweler! Hallmarks on the pin: Two boars' heads.
Unidentified maker's mark: M - illegible symbol - L.
The pin, fixed at one end, must be inserted into the other, which acts as a stopper.
EXCELLENT CONDITION, France, Art Deco period, circa 1925.
Dimensions: 8.2 cm x 1.6 cm.
Weight: 6 g
