Silver Filigree Necklace With Gray Mother-of-pearl Flower Pendant, 19th Century
This beautiful necklace is designed to be worn as a "dog collar". It is composed of two interlocking rows of satin-finished gray mother-of-pearl cabochons framed by four filigree motifs and holds a six-petal flower pendant of the same construction as a central ornament.
The finely decorated clasp is a box-type snap clasp, perfectly functional.
The satin finish and the color of the gray mother-of-pearl give a superb cat's eye stone effect with iridescent green-brown and pink reflections.
Please note: A small flower is missing from the connection of three of the cabochons, but you have to look carefully to see it. Unmarked silver, tested with a touchstone.
Beautiful condition for this very unusual piece of jewelry!
19th century period.
Length 38cm, width 2.6cm, height at the pendant 7cm
Weight 74g
