The cat has an alert and natural pose, and it is very detailed and we can say it ... it is a boy!
It is marked Geschützt on the tail as well as on the right hind leg near its private parts where it is signed FB, (Franz Bergman senior, 1838 – 1894)
Original colors without retouching, patina in excellent condition.
It is complete, with the ink well, an exceptional piece in this condition.
