Small Rustic Domed Chest , Straw Marquetry, 18th-19th Century

Dimensions: 16cm x 11cm x 9cm.
Small 17th-century style box, made from softwood, inside lined with domino paper, outside decorated by a rather rustic straw marquetry, which appears to have been designed on paper and then glued in strips onto wood.
A small key (which does not work) is included.
Box is very pretty; small boxes of this type are not often seen, late 18th century or shortly thereafter.
Regarding its condition, it appears to be good. 5 to 8% of the original straw is missing, but in small pieces, mainly on sides There is of course some wear;  and you have to look closely to see these missing pieces.
