Pair Of Empire Period Mahogany Armchairs - Embossed Velvet From The Bonvallet Factory
Pair of mahogany and mahogany veneer armchairs, the front legs and armrests adorned with carved lotus leaves, the rear legs in a saber shape. Our armchairs are upholstered in a beautiful raspberry-red embossed velvet from the Royal Bonvallet Manufactory. Parisian work from the Empire period, circa 1810. We also have a matching pair of chairs to complete the salon furniture. Very good overall condition, the mahogany has been French polished and cleaned and repolished by our cabinetmaker. Some traces of wood-boring insects. The springs are firm and in very good condition. The velvet is very well preserved, without stains, with slight signs of wear.
