Pair of ornamental porcelain vases from Paris, France, Empire style, Restoration period - early 19th century circa 1830-40. Beautiful decoration of romantic landscapes with castles in matt and shiny gilded frames on a purple background, side handles with sun masks. Superb matt and shiny gold gilding. Beautiful large vases; the depth of the colors makes them very decorative. Ideal for decorating a fireplace or a chest of drawers to complement a pair of candlesticks, in an Empire decoration. Perfect condition, extremely fresh gilding with very slight wear, no accidents or broken parts glued back together. Almost 200 years old and almost new condition. Height: 32.5cm
