"A Pair Of Louis Philippe Vases, 19th Century (1830-1848)."
A pair of Louis Philippe vases, 19th century (1830-1848).
They feature an ovoid body on a cubic pedestal, a high, flared rim. The handles are flush with the shoulder and shaped like floral motifs. The entire surface of the belly and shoulder features a large intaglio on both sides. One side features a genre scene, the other a floral motif. A delightful genre motif is also found on one side of each pedestal. The colors used deserve particular attention, with an elegant violet hue standing out.
