Small Renaissance-style Chest In Carved Oak With Iron Handles,
Charming small Renaissance-style oak chest. The front and both sides are richly carved. It has two wrought-iron handles on the sides for easy movement. It retains its original lock and keyhole; a key has been provided for decorative purposes only and does not work. This chest was remodeled and restored during the 19th century. Most of the decorative elements date from the 17th century, while the top and lower molding are from the 19th century. Its small size makes it extremely easy to place in any interior.
