Domed Chest Anno 1733 Inscription
Large 18th century oak chest bears the inscription Anno 1733. It is carved with a pair of two-headed eagles, a rosette in the center and two flowering branches. The trunk is entirely assembled in dovetails, the top is slightly convex. It has retained all of its original ironwork, its engraved lock, its key, its keyhole as well as its twisted iron handles. Inside carved salt box. It rests on skid feet. Small maintenance restorations over the centuries. Beautiful waxed patina.
