A beautiful and rare 17th-century wedding chest from the Tuscan-Roman area, suitable as a casket, made entirely of dark walnut with typical Central Italian features, both in the double-panel moldings and the rounded, "loaf-shaped" base. Its original top features coffer-shaped workmanship, reminiscent of 16th-century styles.

This information allows us to date the object to the early 17th century, likely crafted by the artisan carpenter as a model for a wedding chest or jewelry box.
