Important Plaque From Urbino, Patanazzi Workshop, Late 16th Century. (38cm X 50cm + Frame)

Rare and important large plaque from Urbino depicting a scene with the Holy Family welcoming a group of singing angels and a palm tree in the background, an evangelical symbol of martyrdom.
It is a rare polychrome ceramic work from the Patanazzi workshop active between 1580 and 1620 in Urbino.
The plaque appears to be in excellent condition, there are no visible cracks or breaks, it probably received ancient restorations.
It is mounted on a beautiful gilded and finely carved seventeenth-century Roman frame.
Plaque measures approximately 50cm H x 38cm; those including the frame are instead 58cm H x 48cm.
