A Rare Pair Of Palace-style Candlesticks. Tuscany, Mid-17th Century.
Artist: à Etudier
A pair of large, painted wooden palace candelabra featuring sculpted depictions of triumphant cherubs holding a garland—six on each candelabra—with each resting on a tripod base.
Furnishings of this kind, with such striking visual impact, were placed inside the reception halls of the most noble palaces; in this case, we believe they were crafted in Tuscany during the 17th century.
The dimensions are 158 cm x 86 cm x 86 cm; the upper metal brackets, which measure approximately 20 cm, should be added to these measurements.
A certificate of authenticity is included with the sale.
