Large Montelupo Albarello Decorated With Grotesques, Second Half Of The 16th Century.
An interesting albarello from Montelupo Fiorentino featuring rich grotesque decoration framing the cartouche “AMOMO” and the patrons’ coat of arms, represented by a black bell. Its size is unusual—26 cm—making it larger than the vast majority of albarelli from this workshop.
Second half of the 16th century, Montelupo Fiorentino.
