White Porcelain Biscuit Group After B. Rezl, Statue, Sculpture, Art Deco Cherub
Artist: Bohumil Rezl ( 1899 - 1963 )
A lovely biscuit porcelain statue depicting a cherub with a basket of flowers, resting on a terrace. It bears the inscription "after B. Rezl" accompanied by a signature in blue stamp. We note a few tiny chips along the edges of several leaves (see photos) which do not detract from the overall appearance of this beautiful sculpture. Bohumil Rezl was born on September 17, 1899, in Czechoslovakia. He emigrated to Paris in 1926, where he began creating models for the Villenauxe-la-Grande porcelain factory, settling there in 1933. In 1951, he returned to Czechoslovakia and died there in 1963. Dimensions: height 25.5 cm, length 31.5 cm at the base, depth 12.8 cm at the base. Please contact us for shipping and handling costs.
