Guéridon Marqueté Style Louis XV , Table De Salon, Milieu, Appoint, Marqueterie , Frisage
A very handsome and elegant pedestal table in precious wood marquetry, in the Transition Louis XV-Louis XVI style.
It rests on four beveled and chamfered curved legs. The front edge of each leg is beautifully covered with horizontal marquetry work ( see photo ). They are finished with bronze sabots.
The belt is decorated with four reserves delimited by light wood marquetry fillets and beautiful curling work on the inside. One side of our belt is fitted with a large transverse drawer.
The circular top is also decorated with fine frieze work, enhanced in the center by a marquetry motif depicting interlacing. It is chamfered all around in the same way as the chamfers on the base.
Very fine quality work from the very end of the 19th-beginning of the 20th century.
