18th-century European Lacquered Wig Box
A very beautiful Regency period wig box. It has a flowing shape and is finished in polychrome European lacquer with a decoration of cranes, flowering stems, and foliage in relief against dark brown backgrounds. The interior is lacquered in coral red; the lock is missing. Parisian work from the early 18th century.
