Beautiful portrait of a noble lady. Richly dressed, she still wears the fontange hairstyle that was fashionable during the reign of Louis XIV, and beautiful pearl jewelry. Our rectangular painting has retained its original carved and gilded wooden frame. (It was later reinforced with a wooden rod). The stretcher has also been changed.
