18th-century Scent Box
A beautiful perfume box made of rosewood marquetry with a stamped varnish finish.
It has retained its interior compartments, its mirror (still in good condition), and the protective cushion made of green fabric, all edged with silver braid.
The four glass vials have solid silver stoppers, hallmarked with an eagle’s head—a hallmark engraved in Paris on small silver items (1786–1789).
The funnel bears the same hallmark but has certainly been replaced (the original must have been smaller...).
The small cup and saucer are missing.
Also included are two small powder jars made of fine porcelain, likely from the Locré Manufactory, in excellent condition.
Parisian craftsmanship from the Louis XVI period.
