"18th Century Silver-plated Metal Powder Shaker"
A silver-plated metal powder compact from the Regency period. Baluster-shaped, it rests on a pedestal decorated with gadroons. The domed cap, pierced with holes in a grid pattern, is usually topped with a finial (missing on this example). It closes with a bayonet fitting. The silver plating has worn off, but it has a beautiful patina! Early 18th century.
