Gilt bronze Christ, 17th century
Dressed in a short perizonium, Christ is depicted as a living figure with a swaying hip and slender limbs. His feet are stacked and his arms are barely raised, almost horizontally
Christ is nailed to a wooden cross mounted on a red velvet background. The giltwood frame features openwork moldings with raised foliage. The cross and frame date from the 19th century.
Very good condition, gilding well preserved, fine quality for a small piece. The frame is also in very good condition.
