"Louis XV Bench, 18th Century "
An elegant Louis XV period alcove bench, crafted from finely carved and molded wood, rests on four cabriole legs characteristic of the style, terminating in delicately sculpted sabots. The seat rail and back are richly decorated with flowers, foliage, and shells, finely carved to highlight the quality of the craftsmanship and the harmony of the lines. The undulating back, with its shaped upper rail, offers a graceful and balanced silhouette, typical of the Rococo style. The well-proportioned, scrolled armrests blend seamlessly into the overall structure. The bench is fully upholstered in a light-colored fabric with a raised floral design in a soft, luminous tone, accentuating the wood carving. The seat is comfortable and generously sized, complemented by a large lumbar cushion, providing both elegance and practical comfort. The light patina of the wood, intentionally slightly worn, gives this piece an authentic and decorative charm, in keeping with classic or French-style family home/chic interiors. A quality piece with harmonious proportions, it's ideal for: a refined living room, an elegant bedroom, a gallery or reception area, or a high-end classic, romantic, or shabby chic décor. Condition: very good overall condition, sound structure, clean upholstery in good used condition. French work from the 18th century. It measures: 110 cm long, 47 cm deep, and 94 cm high. The seat height is 50 cm with the cushion and 38 cm without. The cushion is new and therefore well-filled.
