Maurice Éliot (1862-1945) Portrait of a Child in a Blue Dress. Pastel on paper, signed lower right. Antique giltwood frame. Painter, pastelist, and drawing teacher, Maurice Éliot is among the recognized French artists of the late 19th century. A member of the Société des Pastellistes Français, he exhibited regularly at the Salon des Artistes Français and participated in the 1900 Universal Exhibition, where he received an award.
