Louis XVI Chest Of Drawers, 18th Century

Elegant Louis XVI period chest of drawers, in finely inlaid veneer, featuring a slightly a Ressaut front with a balanced structure typical of the neoclassical taste of the late 18th century.

It opens on the front with three Drawers, a smaller one on the belt simulating 3 Drawers and the other 2 without Traverse . . . The fronts are adorned with warm-toned Satiné marquetry, underlined by contrasting fillets in Precise Wood Marquetry highlighting the richness of the veining.

The top is made of a solid wood marquetry, with a very high glossy finish.

The top is a 'Marbre Brèche d'Alep , with bec-de-corbin, bringing an extra touch of refinement to the ensemble.
The gilded bronze trim is original
: handles with turning motifs, finely chased keyholes, and foot sabots.

The fluted uprights rest on tapered legs, characteristic of the Louis XVI style, lending lightness and elegance to the silhouette.

Very good condition, with a warm, authentic patina.
