Mahogany Chilled Beverage Table, Canabas Model

Elegant refreshment table, CANABAS model, crafted from mottled mahogany and solid mahogany, resting on three tapered, slightly arched legs finished with bronze feet, 18th-century.

The upper band features a particularly refined, undulating design, incorporating a circular compartment intended to hold a metal cooling bucket, which is still present. 
The main recessed white marble top is surrounded by a finely chiseled, openwork gilt-bronze railing, a motif repeated on the two lower kidney-shaped shelves.

The piece as a whole displays exceptional cabinetmaking quality, featuring a speckled mahogany veneer with rich, iridescent grain—a hallmark of late 18th-century Parisian craftsmanship. The middle and lower shelves offer generous space for display or serving.
