4 Mythological Engravings,

Pair of mythological engravings after J. Reick – Wooden frames

An elegant pair of mythological compositions depicting lively scenes of deities and allegorical figures from Antiquity, moving among the clouds, accompanied by horses and celestial chariots.

The scenes, set within beautiful oval medallions adorned with ornamental friezes, are distinguished by their delicate palette of blues, pinks, and ivory tones, evoking the aesthetic of the painted decorations found in grand classical interiors.

Set against a velvety brown background, accented by a natural wood border, these compositions are highlighted by beautiful molded wood frames with simple, elegant lines.

The reverse side bears old handwritten labels mentioning, in particular, J. Reick, an attribution that remains to be confirmed.

A charming decorative set, ideal for enhancing a classic interior, a library, or a cabinet of curiosities.
