Important Emilian chest, dating from the late 17th to the early 18th century, entirely crafted in solid walnut wood, with a warm original patina and well-balanced proportions.The front is articulated with moulded panels enhanced by refined inlaid decoration in a late 17th–early 18th century taste, featuring shaped reserves and stylised foliate motifs, characteristic of high-quality Emilian production of the period.The chest stands on shaped feet with elegant pierced detailing, a refined feature that lightens the overall appearance. The hinged lid retains its original wrought-iron hardware, well preserved, as well as the original lock, a particularly desirable element in furniture of this type and age.From a conservation standpoint, the chest is in very good overall condition, showing age-related wear and minor restoration work or small replacements in marginal areas, carried out with respect for the structure and historical integrity of the piece.
