The spoon bowls are decorated with an interlacing of small flowers, scrolls, and finely openwork curves alternating in white silver and gilt silver.
The silver handles are formed of two stems joined by a gilt silver molding. These join the gilt silver bowls with a scroll motif that echoes the design of the spoons.
The sugar tongs feature the same ornamental motifs and are engraved with a cherry branch.
The service comes in its original case lined with red velvet and monogrammed J.A.
Each piece is hallmarked:
Minerva 1st standard pre-1973 for 950/1000 silver
Maker's mark: HS with a rising sun and a star for Henri Soufflot, active from 1884 to 1910
This is a magnificent and extremely rare piece, characterized by its elegance and lightness, achieved through the delicacy of the ornamentation and the numerous openwork details in the design. The contrast between the white silver and the vermeil enhances its preciousness.
