Louis XVI Musician's Chair
Original musician's armchair, from the Louis XVI period, in carved and gilded wood (likely regilded around 1900). Its low seat rests on four fluted legs and has a backrest of a very particular shape, which slightly wraps around the sides while allowing great freedom of movement for playing music thanks to the absence of armrests. A very fine-quality chair, beautifully carved. The pegged joints are perfectly solid, and the Beauvais tapestry with musical motifs is also original.
