The "Sympathetic strings "that vibrate either with the armonics, hence the theorbic form of the ankle and the second saddle, or by pinching them.
This type of instruments was built to play baroque chamber music.
During the French Revolution, many of these instruments were destroyed.
Given the increasing number of musicians and groups of baroque music, this type of instruments is once again experiencing a certain enthusiasm.
The instrument is in excellent condition, but the strings require replacement.
A period label is glued to the bottom of the instrument.
