Important 19th century white marble bas-relief from Rajasthan, depicting a lion with its paw resting on a ram's head. This animal profile is framed by a frieze of foliage, and its style is reminiscent of ancient Assyrian sculpture. Formerly embedded in a wall, this bas-relief retains some traces on the edge (including piercings), but is otherwise in excellent condition. Dimensions: 91 X 64 cm (approximate weight 80-100 kg)
