"Bas-relief en marbre, Rajasthan XIXème siècle"

Important bas-relief en marbre blanc du XIXème siècle, provenant du Rajasthan, représentant un lion à la patte posée sur une tête de bélier. Ce profil animal est encadré d'une frise de feuillages, et son style n'est pas sans rappeler la sculpture antique assyrienne. Autrefois encastré dans dans un murs, ce bas-relief en conserve quelques traces sur la tranche (dont des percements), mais est par ailleurs en excellent état de conservation.
