Baroque Frame, Carved Wood, 17th Century
A beautiful, richly carved, fully openwork Baroque wooden frame, probably made in Italy in the 17th century. It features a central oval window that was once fitted with an antique mirror framed by a gilded laurel frieze, around which an opulent ornamentation of carved foliage unfolds. Formerly in the J. Barry Collection (inventory labels on the back). Good condition. Dimensions: 43 x 31 cm
