Louis XVI Period Ceremonial Walking Stick
This cane, disproportionately long (111 cm), was not, it would seem, made for a giant, but simply for parading along the paths of a park or in a café, the index finger casually resting on the top of the handle. It can be also a cane for a master of ballet .
It is typical of the Louis XVI period, with a malacca cane that has darkened over time, a pointed bronze or brass tip (with a few minor dents), a hole for a silk ribbon, and a troconical gilt brass handle (imitating gold models) decorated with stamped grapes of fruits. With this, the park of Versailles is yours!
