"Town Hall Project, 19th Century Watercolor Architectural Work "
This watercolor is the work of a student at the central School of Arts and Manufacture, as the stamp on the sheet suggests, yet one can only admire his mastery of the cuts and blends of materials necessary to present the interior structure of the building. It is probably an exercise, because the city of Mons in the Jura is impossible to find. It remains a charming testimony to the virtuosity of architectural students in the 19th century. Contemporary frame, beautifully crafted. All in excellent condition.
