Crystal And Silver Decanter, Late 19th-early 20th Century
A crystal decanter with a solid silver mount adorned with acanthus leaves, a leaf frieze, and a striated frieze. The lid is surmounted by a pine cone-shaped finial and features a frieze of small pearls.
Several hallmarks are visible:
Minerva hallmarks for first standard silver are present above the leaf frieze, on the lid, and under the base.
The maker's mark of Edmond Molle (E MOLLE and a clover, registered on May 11, 1898, and cancelled on September 25, 1919, at 114 rue du Temple in Paris) is located below the leaf frieze.
Some marks are visible on the inside of the crystal.
Good overall condition.
