"Antique Early 19th-20th Century Art Nouveau Mabotine Hanging Planter"
A very beautiful antique Art Nouveau hanging planter in barbotine clay, late 19th/early 20th century, circa 1890-1930. Reminiscent of pieces from the Onnaing and Nimy factories, the maker is unknown, but it is marked "J" inside. The planter is shaped like a bowl, decorated in relief with floral, vegetal, and geometric motifs in shades of beige, brown, ochre, and dark blue. It has a lovely flared shape, finished with a decorative tassel at the bottom. The antique chain is made of dark metal, very clean, and has a patina. The planter measures 24cm in diameter and 11-12cm in height (15cm including the tassel), with a total height of 60-70cm including the chain. It is in very good condition with no particularly noticeable flaws. This piece can be used either as a hanging planter or as a light fixture that can be electrified, depending on the desired use. Approximately 2kg.
