Beautiful handcrafted African bronze mask, Bamoun, Cameroon. Ethnic art. Traditional lost-wax casting technique. Decorative, suitable for wall mounting or display on a stand, vintage piece from the 1960s-1980s. Depicts a smiling bearded man with bulging eyes, a crowned king with a face and two lizards, among other stylized motifs. Domed shape. Hollow mouth and nostrils. Lovely detail work, a beautiful, well-finished model. In shades of bronze, brown, and gold, with some bluish and white oxidation. 26cm high, 23cm wide, 7cm maximum depth. Very good condition, with a patina of age and natural oxidation, giving it a beautiful antique appearance. Approximately 1.2 kg.
