China, 19th century, a superb and important bronze incense burner on a tripod base, decorated with a reserve of birds and phoenixes. The handles and the finial of the lid are in the form of dragons. A Greek key frieze adorns the top below the lid and the base. Numerous vegetal and floral motifs are delicately chased in relief. The piece is of very high quality.
