Ivory Coast, Gouro people, 1940s/1950s, superb "Gu" dance mask with a collar with a prognathous female face wearing an elaborate hairstyle. It represents the feminine ideal which is manifested in this sculpture by the beauty and finesse of the heart-shaped facial features and the forehead decorated with scarifications.
Height 37 cm (50 cm with the base). The scale indicator in the last photograph is a small model of a lighter from a well-known brand.
Good condition except for slight normal wear and tear without impact.
