An imposing wall sculpture representing the Holy Trinity according to traditional iconography:
Description:
God the Father, the sovereign and blessing figure, Christ the Redeemer, and the dove of the Holy Spirit, united in a powerful and highly expressive theological composition.
The sculpted group rests on a large, turbulent cloud, finely modeled and enhanced with gilded highlights, supporting a symbolic globe painted green.
The whole is surrounded by a circular glory with radiating rays, entirely sculpted and gilded, giving the work a spectacular visual presence and a strong liturgical dimension.
The exceptional size of this sculpture makes it a rare piece on the market.
Dimensions of the sculpted group alone: Height: approx. 105 cm – Width: approx. 80 cm – Depth: approx. 37 cm.
Diameter of the radiant glory: approx. 135 cm.
Overall dimensions: approximately 137 × 137 × 37 cm.
Due to its monumental proportions, this work was intended for an altarpiece, a chapel, or church decoration, and today retains a significant decorative and spiritual impact, perfectly suited to a large wall, a private chapel, or a distinctive interior.
Work from the late 19th or very early 20th century, in a late Baroque style, with original polychromy, gilding, and a patina consistent with the age and function of the object.
