Epinal Soup Tureen - Late 18th, Early 19th Century
Epinal Tureen - Late 18th, Early 19th Century. High-fired earthenware with the colors and decorations characteristic of Epinal (see reference book, piece reproduced). Decorated with intertwined garlands and flowers (also found on plates from this factory). Pieces of this shape are rare. It has undergone two repairs of chips on the lid and one on the foot (see last photos). A very large crack and small chips in the glaze remain around the rim. Otherwise, it is a faience piece.
