Pewter syrup trough - 18th or 19th century. This pewter syrup trough was used in pharmaceuticals (old apothecaries) to make both syrups and pills (granules made from syrup, coated powders), as well as solutions (it was used for transferring). Flat in shape with a pouring spout. Side socket handle with a turned wooden handle in perfect condition. Unmarked but rare and very decorative. The whole is in good condition. Reservoir diameter 14.5 cm, total length 28 cm, height 3.3 cm.
