German Teapot/Coffee Pot - Late 18th Century. A baluster-shaped pewter teapot with a grooved rim, flared foot, and a domed lid, featuring a spout extending onto the body. The handle is made of pewter covered with braided wicker, a characteristic of German pottery. The body is cast in two parts (visible in a photo). The piece is not hallmarked. In relatively good condition: note that the lid hinge is broken (the lid is loose and no longer held in place). Height including the domed rim: 22 cm; base diameter: 8.5 cm.
