Lunéville Earthenware Holy Water Font
Lunéville Faience Holy Water Font - Early 19th Century. This piece is one of the characteristic forms of Lunéville, with a wide spout joined along its entire width to the base, and a nipple-shaped spout. The back is notched above the cross. The basin has its original decoration. (See photos in the reference book.) The polychromy is in perfect condition. There is a very fine crack (at the feet of Christ), one chip on the spout, and a few losses of glaze (on the spout and to the left of "INRI"). No restoration. Height 20 cm
