Fruit basket, folk art in braided iron wire from the late 19th - early 20th century. Vosges work from the region of plombières des bains. Was also produced in the Xertigny area. This work was carried out in small family workshops by the fire in winter after the field work was finished. This example is monogrammed with the letters SM. It shows traces of oxidation (rust) which go through the original paint (silver color). Presence of 2 handles for transport. Decorated with 38 tassels (one is missing at the level of a handle). Remarkably fine work.
